queries regarding Suvarnabhumi airport and a switchover from
Don Muang airport. Calls can
be made to the centre at

between 8 am - 5 pm on weekdays.
Remark: Friday- Sunday,
the service will be available around the clock.
Q:
Will there be any changes in the pick up times from
hotel to airport?
A: Yes. The pick-up transfers
from hotel to airport will be 30 minutes earlier,
that is 3 hours before your flight departures.
Q:
Will there be any changes in the airport departure
tax?
A: Yes. The domestic airport
tax will be increased from Baht 50 to Baht 100,
and the international airport tax from Baht 500
to Baht 700. This will be effective on February
1, 2007.
Q:
At which level of the airport will the transfer
guide meet and greet clients?
A: At the Arrival Hall on Level
2. Gate A is for domestic arrivals and Gates B &
C for international arrivals.
Q:
Will all flights move to the new airport when it
starts operations from 28 September?
A: Yes, except for chartered,
military and general aviation flights. Jetstar Asia
(3K) starts to move to Suvarnabhumi Airport on September
15 as the first foreign airline, Thai Air Asia (FD)
on September 25, OneTwoGo (OX) (Orient Thai) on
September 26 and Nok Air (DD) on September 27, 2006.

Q:
What is going to happen to the old airport at Don
Muang?
A: The present Don Muang Airport
will be used for chartered, military and general
aviation flights and will house some aircraft maintenance
facilities.
Q:
How many levels does the Suvarnabhumi Airport have?
A: It has seven levels and
are as follows:
Level 1: Bus lobby, fast food
shops and counter of the Association of Thai Travel
Agents (tour groups, etc.). All vehicles from
tour companies will pick up passengers at this
level.
Level 2: Arrival Hall (immigration,
customs, 23 baggage claim belts and limousine
transport). Here arriving passengers can take
the free shuttle bus to the taxi/parking areas
or wait for relatives and friends to pick them
up.
Level 3: Gallery and Meeting
Point.
Level 4: Departure Lounge (460
check-in counters, passport control and customs).
All vehicles from tour companies drop off passengers
on this level.
Q:
At which level do the arriving passengers take taxis
to their destinations?
A: Taxis are not allowed to
pick up passengers at the Arrival Hall. They have
to take the free shuttle bus from Level 2 to the
taxi parking area (not recommended except for passengers
without any luggage).
