Koh Samui,the third largest
island in the kingdom lies in the gulf of Thailand.
Bangkok Airways now offers 7 flights a day from Bangkok
to Samui island. The flight takes just an hour and ten
minutes to travel the 700 kms. southeast from Bangkok.
The island can also be reached from the southern town
of Suratthani served by convenient daily plane, train
and bus links from Bangkok. From Sutatthani, morning
and afternoon ferry services take two and a half hour
to reach the island.
